Steps to Residency
If you are interested in acquiring a Licence to Occupy a Retirement Village unit or think you maybe in the future, we encourage you to complete the Waiting List Form below, or contact us if you would like us to post you a form. Completing this form is not a commitment on your part – it is only an expression of interest. For the larger units with garages, our waiting list is sometimes quite long.
When a unit becomes available which you may be interested in, we will contact you. At that stage you may say you are not ready to consider the move yet, or you may look at the unit and then decide. If you are happy to be kept on the Waiting List, we can contact you again at a later stage.
Acquiring A Licence To Occupy
After you have been offered a unit and you decide that you would like to proceed with acquiring a Licence to Occupy that Unit, the next step is to complete an Application to Reside. Before we prepare the Application to Reside for you to sign, we need to discuss with you any special conditions. When you complete an Application to Reside, we will issue you with a Residence Agreement. This Agreement should be signed and returned to us within 7 days of receipt. After you sign the Agreement and after any special conditions have been satisfied, you then have a 14 day cooling-off period.
The balance of the ingoing contribution is payable the day after the end of the cooling off period, unless a prior arrangement has been made with us. The Accommodation Unit will be available for occupancy once the cooling-off period has finished and the ingoing contribution has been paid.
